It is not a secret that during the operation of the log buildings, the strength of the impact of the wooden structural elements on one another is constantly changing. In particular, wood absorbs and evaporates moisture, it means that the wood swells and, conversely, shrinks, respectively, increasing and decreasing in volume. The walls are heated and cooled (what is more, unevenly), they are pushed by the wind and operating load.
All these processes rather quickly lead to the loosening of the parts, the infringement of the seams leakproofness between beams (logs) that make up the external walls of the building, and thus, it means the deterioration of the wood heatrelated and strength properties.
